This meme -- inspired by Herr Doktor-Professor Trump's hold over his flock -- and a discussion online about murderers or murder victims you have known got me to thinking again about this stray frond from my childhood memories. My mom was a wild child who got kicked out of Incarnate Word and St. Agnes and so attended San Jacinto HS and then finally Lamar, where she ran with a crew of little flower power hippies and beatniks. This was pre-Manson, and they called themselves "the Family."
Wow, wow, wow. Incredible story! I went to junior high school with Michael Devlin, the guy who abducted the young boys and kept one of them for several years, and of course I have known murder victims (as a lifelong St. Louisan), but the Jim Jones tie is over-the-top tabloid-worthy content. (Also, your mom's painting reminds me of Egon Schiele.)
Wow what an amazing story! And haven’t thought about The Judy’s in years.
DAMN!

Have you shared this connection before? It sounds both familiar and utterly shocking.
