Moses told me once, "I know what happened to Jimmy Hoffa". I said, "well, duh, we all know he was murdered". He said, "yeah, but I know who made it happen and that they buried him in the foundation of a building just before they poured the concrete". He would say no more, just looked atme and waggled his eyes, like he would sometimes do.
Great piece. Quite an eye opener. One big question it answered for me was his lineage. I somehow engrained into my memory, incorrectly, that Casey was of Portuguese descent. So, now I know the real story.
Casey is, was and forever will be a legend to me and to so many others who had the privilege to wander the halls of SJCP. RIP Br. Casey, SJ. Disciplinarian, Athlete, Trainer, Delivery Guy.
So very well done, what an interesting man and a wonderful glimpse into a most extraordinary man and his most remarkable life. Bravo! R.I.P. brother Ferlita!

Beautifully written John. I learned a great deal about which I was unaware.
Thank you for your kind attention to a very unique man. All my best, Horacio E. Adrogue MD Class of 87
Beautifully done Lomax!

Your take of Casey was a mirror of mine and most of my ‘80 classmates. Saved my lame ass many times, turned me around and sent me straight. RIP BCF.
A fantastic piece, as usual. Thank you!
Nicely done. We were lucky to have been there at his prime. I also described Brother Casey as omniscient and omnipresent in something I wrote earlier!
Fantastic eulogy of a presence that did, does, forever will? hover in our collective consciousness. He was the Order to me.
Thank you for sharing this John. Brother Casey impacted thousands upon thousands. AMDG

This may be the greatest tribute to a man, that I have ever read! Well done and very sorry for your loss…
