I’ve come to the sad realization that there is no other way to make a blog like this profitable aside from podcasting. Facebook has a chokehold on print; I cannot and will not fight it anymore. I will finish up the saga of the Scotsman. the Houston con artist and the Black Diamond, and post only a little else in print here.
And in its place I will bring podcasts. With you, with my friends, famous and not, and others. What I am looking for are stories — tell me your favorite story from your own life or your ancestors’ or whatever. I am just looking for narrative. We all love narrative, right?
What I am aiming for is a sort of Texan version of This American Life. A That Texan Existence, if you will. Or just plain Ruckus — I like that better.
I think I have the technological rudiments in place to give this a try, so if you want to be my very first interviewee, drop me a line and tell me what you want to talk about at jnovalomax@gmail.com.
Please share and share away. Texans love to tell stories and I love to hear them, and you do too.
